Tesis, Pengaruh Kemandirian Belajar dan Kepercayaan Diri terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa di Pesantren Boarding School

This study aims to determine how the effect of  self learning and self confident toward the students  learning achievement with the school culture of 85% boarding school student (santri).This research was done in Islam Junior High School of YPI Buaran Pekalongan city has 260 students and 156 students being sample of the research. This research was about descriptive quantitative, with the questioner used as the media of collecting data, the measurement scale with likert scale by selection procedure sample, done by  Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technic with the Slovin formula. Data Analysis method with the quasi factor interaction technic.The result of research showed the self learning can influence positive and significant toward the achievement learning students.  Self confident can influence positive and significant toward the students learning achievement. School culture can influence positive but not significant toward the students learning achievement. School culture can empower them but cannot be significant toward the students learning achievement. School culture can also weaken them  but cannot be significant toward the students learning achievement.

Key word: the self learning, the self confident, the students learning achievement, and the  culture of school.
